Born in Spain, Gema always felt a deep and inexplicable connection to the UK. When she turned 24 and she had gathered enough courage, she left everything behind and emigrated to England. She lived and worked in the UK for over 20 years. She made a career in IT Training and Change Management in the corporate world. At the same time, she studied spirituality and metaphysics, explored many healing techniques, attended workshops and lived with spiritual teachers who taught her about unconditional love, compassion and joy.
She is passionate about Conscious Leadership and brings this new concept to countries and places where they are still operating in the old paradigm. From parents to teachers, to students, to corporate leaders, to business owners, to world politicians and spiritual leaders… they all lead their lives and inspire other people one way or another; it is Gema´s dream that everyone awakens to the fact they are Creators of their own lives and Leaders of their destinies… when everyone becomes a Conscious Leader, with Conscious Awareness, LOVE and JOY find their way in… and they become FREE.
Christine is known as a food warrior and advocate for social justice. Whilst the focus of her business is providing a “hand up” there is still much concern about the level of handouts provided without consideration to empowering families to break the cycle of food poverty and have choices in the food they eat. Christine would argue she is not political, cooking it seems is a political act.
Michael Pollan said “Cooking is what happens between farming and eating. It’s a political act, he suggests, because by cooking we can improve our health, break our dependence on conglomerates, and build community”. Christine’s goal for the next year is to hold workshops and retreats so other women can learn to dig deep, find their true reason for being in this life and live their passion every day.

Despite my very traumatic upbringing growing up in an alcoholic home, I always wanted to excel in whatever
I have suffered from child abuse/neglect, adverse childhood experiences, verbal, psychological, physical, and sexual domestic abuse, alcoholism, anxiety, and depression for most of my life. I held all these emotional toxins within my body until my mind and body finally broke down in 2013. I could not function anymore. I was shocked to hear that my diagnosis was major depression and PTSD.
In retrospect, I say that PTSD was the best thing that ever happened to me! This diagnosis forced me to want a very aggressive therapy treatment in which I could finally examine and put to rest all of the pain, suffering, and traumas that I had been holding onto inside my body for decades.
I have always known that my ambition in life was to be a writer, and still, it took so long before I gave it a fair chance. I did do some writing during those years but did not give it enough time or care.
When I published my first book two years ago I was terrified, scared of what other people would think, that they would not like it. But as time passed the passion and joy of writing healed me.
It became my sunny island in the eye of the storm. My writing took me on voyages to other worlds, to places where my characters could live, love, fight and screw up.
The loved and the infuriating, the nice and the mean. The ones that know their way and the ones that get lost. Characters that go their own way but allow me to follow their adventures. The fate and stories of people who struggle to get it right, as we all do.
I am no longer afraid of what people think of my books. But of course, it warmed my heart when I got some fantastic reviews this summer and made it to the bestseller list. But the best thing is all the stories still left inside of me, eager to come to life.
